Tema Hari Guru Sedunia 2023 pada 5 Oktober dan Ucapannya

tirto.id - Ucapan Hari Guru Sedunia dapat disampaikan kepada guru saat peringatannya pada Kamis, 5 Oktober 2023. Pada peringatan tahun ini, UNESCO mengusung tema “The teachers we need for the education we want: The global imperative to reverse the teacher shortage”.

Tema tersebut apabila diterjemahkan dalam bahasa Indonesia berarti "Guru yang kita butuhkan untuk pendidikan yang kita inginkan: Keharusan global untuk mengatasi kekurangan guru".

Acara peringatan Hari Guru Sedunia yang digelar oleh UNESCO akan dibuka oleh Direktur Jenderal UNESCO, diikuti dengan pesan dari tiga lembaga penyelenggara: Organisasi Buruh Internasional (ILO), UNICEF, dan Education International.

Sebagai bagian dari perayaan ini, UNESCO akan meresmikan sebuah pameran foto orisinil yang menampilkan para guru dari seluruh dunia. Pameran ini akan menampilkan potret dan testimoni, sebagai pengakuan atas dedikasi, semangat, dan komitmen mereka untuk membentuk masa depan.

Pameran ini juga akan menyoroti pekerjaan UNESCO tentang guru. Pameran ini akan dipamerkan di luar Markas Besar UNESCO di Paris, dari akhir September hingga pertengahan Oktober 2023.

UNESCO juga mengajak setiap orang di seluruh dunia untuk bergabung di dalam acara ini baik secara langsung di Paris dan via daring. Setiap orang yang berminat untuk menyaksikan acaranya, dapat melakukan registrasi secara online melalui laman resmi UNESCO.
