tirto.id - ""No More Dream"" merupakan lagu debut BTS yang resmi diluncurkan pada tanggal 12 Juni 2013.
Lagu yang awalnya tergabung dalam album "2 Cool 4 Skool" inilah yang menjadi awal dari perjalanan karier BTS di industri musik K-Pop.
"No More Dream" berisi lirik yang tegas menyuarakan isi hati anak-anak muda yang ingin keluar dari batasan-batasan masyarakat.
Dalam kehidupan, khususnya di Korea Selatan, ada standar tertentu yang dianggap layak untuk tingkat pendidikan maupun pekerjaan.
Lewat lagu "No More Dream" yang kental dengan nuansa hip hop, BTS ingin menyampaikan pesan bahwa setiap orang tidak wajib mengikuti standar tersebut.
BTS mencoba memberi motivasi pada anak-anak muda untuk bermimpi dan melakukan sesuatu untuk mewujudkan impiannya.
Di awal kemunculannya, "No More Dream" bisa dibilang kalah pamor dengan lagu-lagu milik grup lain yang lebih dulu terkenal.
Tapi seiring dengan melesatnya popularitas BTS di dunia musik, kini video klip "No More Dream" telah ditonton sebanyak lebih dari 253,9 juta kali.
Sementara itu, "No More Dream" kembali dihadirkan di album antologi terbaru BTS yang bertajuk Proof. Album ini sendiri resmi dirilis pada tanggal 10 Juni 2022, beberapa hari sebelum ulang tahun debut BTS yang ke-9.
Dikutip dari Soompi, album dengan lagu utama "Yet To Come" ini berhasil menduduki peringkat 1 di Billboard 200.
"Proof" sukses terjual hingga 314 ribu unit setara album dengan didominasi oleh penjualan album fisik (CD).
