tirto.id - Jumlah pendengar lagu "I Still Love You" TheOvertunes terus meningkat sejak dirilis dua tahun lalu, tepatnya 17 Agustus 2018. Sampai saat ini, Rabu (2/9/2020), pukul 19.00 WIB, video musik itu sudah ditonton lebih dari 10 juta kali di YouTube resmi band.
TheOvertunes adalah kelompok musik yang terdiri dari tiga bersaudara, yakni Mikha Angelo, Reuben Nathaniel dan Mada Emmanuelle. Namun, posisi mereka dalam pasar industri musik cukup terbantu karena sang vokalis, Mikha Angelo pernah mengikuti ajang pencarian bakat di salah satu stasiun televisi pada tahun 2012 lalu.
Selain itu, kelompok musik ini juga moncer karena sejumlah lagunya yang pernah menjadi soundtrack film seperti lagu "Bukan Sekadar Kata" untuk film Susah Sinyal, karya Ernest Prakasa. Selain itu, ada lagu "Berlari Tanpa Kaki" untuk soundtrack film Cek Toko Sebelah.
Untuk lagu "I Still Love You" sendiri dirilis oleh Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia. Meskipun lirik lagunya bisa diinterpretasikan sesuai dengan orang mendengarkannya, tapi secara garis besar, lagu "I Still Love You" bercerita tentang kisah cinta yang universal.
Hal itulah yang menjadi kelebihan dari teknik kepenulisan lirik TheOvertunes karena bisa dimaknai cinta sepasang kekasih, cinta orang tua terhadap anaknya, maupun cinta anaknya kepada orang tuanya. Kemampuan memilih kata itu membuat lagu "I Still Love You" tidak terkesan hanya ditujukan kepada satu obyek.
