"Traitor" sendiri adalah pop indie dan ballad gitar-rock. Lagu ini disebut-sebut menceritakan tentang aktor dan penyanyi Amerika Joshua Bassett, yang ikut membintangi High School Musical: The Musical: The Series bersama Olivia dulu.
