Isu konser Coldplay di Jakarta semakin kuat setelah Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, menerima kunjungan PK Entertainment, promotor yang digadang-gadang akan mendatangkan Coldplay ke Tanah Air, belum lama ini.
“Ayo yang ngaku fans @coldplay mana suaranya? Kemarin saya kedatangan teman-teman dari PK Entertainment. Mohon doanya agar semuanya dilancarkan, karena kedatangan Coldplay ke Jakarta ini pastinya akan mendatangkan banyak wisatawan dari negara-negara tetangga,” tulis Sandiaga di media sosial.
Akan tetapi, Sandiaga Uno melalui story akun Instagram-nya pada Rabu, 3 Mei 2023 lalu mengungkapkan permintaan maaf belum dapat memberikan informasi kepastian konser Coldplay di Indonesia.
“Maaf guys ternyata belum bisa di-announce,” tulis Sandi.
Di sisi lain, Coldplay memang tengah melakukan tur konser bertajuk “Coldplay Music of the Sphere World Tour” di Amerika dan Eropa pada bulan pertengahan Mei hingga awal Oktober 2023 mendatang. Kemudian ada rumor yang mengungkapkan bahwa Coldplay akan singgah di beberapa negara Asia Tenggara untuk menggelar konser.
Apabila melihat informasi dari laman GBK, status venue pada 5-17 November 2023 telah dipesan. Kendati demikian, belum diketahui informasi pasti apakah pemesanan venue GBK ditujukan untuk konser Coldplay atau bukan.
Hal itu disebabkan lantaran di laman resmi ColdPlay tidak ada nama Jakarta dalam daftar list tur konser “Coldplay Music of the Sphere World Tour”.
