The Cigarette Duet menceritakan tetang seorang kekasih yang mengkhawatirkan kesehatan pacarnya yang perokok. Namun si perokok meyakinkan pacarnya bahwa dia akan baik-baik saja dan pasti dapat berhenti.
Wanita dalam lagu itu adalah perokok sementara pria itu berusaha mendorongnya untuk berhenti merokok. Dalam lagu tersebut, si lelaki adalah perokok sebelumnya, tetapi kemudian berhenti.
Lagu berbahasa inggris yang memiliki genre pop indie ini diproduksi New Zealand record dan ditulis oleh Chelsea Nikkel.
Video musik lagu ini dapat ditonton di channel Youtube Lil' Chief Records. Video tersebut disutradarai oleh Jonathan Bree, dan mengambil kurang lebih 70 pengambilan sebelum sempurna.
