tirto.id - Grup K-Pop BLACKPINK dan Selena Gomez baru saja merilis lagu baru berjudul "Ice Cream" pada, Jumat 28 Agustus 2020 pukul 13.00 KST, atau 11.00 WIB. Demikian informasi itu disampaikan oleh YG Entertainment, selaku agensi yang menaungi BLACKPINK lewat poster yang diunggah di akun Instagram BLACKPINK.
Kolaborasi keduanya sudah dinformasikan sejak 28 Juli 2020 lalu. Kendati demikian, pihak YG Entertainment masih merahasiakan informasi itu dan meminta penggemar menantikan pengumuman resminya.
"BLACKPINK dan Selena Gomez selalu berbagi harmoni dalam bermusik sebagai penggemar lama satu sama lain. Akhirnya, apa yang selalu mereka dambakan menjadi kenyataan," tutur perwakilan YG, seperti dikutip Osen.
"Selain mengungkapkan rasa terima kasih kepada Selena Gomez, BLACKPINK juga sangat senang bisa segera menampilkan lagu baru ini kepada penggemar," tambah pihak YG Entertainment.
Sebelumnya, BLACKPINK juga berkolaborasi dengan Lady Gaga lewat lagu berjudul "Sour Candy" pada Kamis (28/5/2020). Lagu ini merupakan bagian dari album terbaru Lady Gaga bertajuk Chromatica.
Seperti dilansir Antara, lagu berdurasi 2 menit 38 detik itu menggabungkan lirik Bahasa Inggris dan Korea. Sekilas, lagu ini berkisah tentang karakter seseorang yang mirip permen asam. Dari luar terkesan asam dan keras, tapi sisi manisnya akan terlihat bila sudah muncul.
