tirto.id - Ajang penghargaan Gaon Chart Music Awards ke-10 tahun 2021 telah digelar pada Rabu (13/1/2021) secara daring. Acara yang dipandu oleh Leeteuk Super Junior dan Lia ITZY ini dihelat tanpa kehadiran dan penampilan dari para idola Kpop.
Nominasi yang dibacakan di antaranya adalah Artist of the Year (Musik Digital), Artist of the Year (Album Fisik), New Artist of the Year, Composer of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, Performer of the Year, Style of the Year (Koreografer dan Pengarah Gaya), Discovery of the Year, dan masih banyak lagi.
BTS berhasil membawa pulang total 7 trofi kemenangan sekaligus, yakni Artis of the Year digital bulan Februari, Agustus, November. Kemudian, Artist of the Year kategori album fisik untuk kuarter pertama dan keempat.
Ditambah dengan trofi Retail Album of the Year. Selain itu, Suga BTS juga memenangkan piala atas kolaborasinya dengan IU lewat lagu “eight”.
