Video musik dari lagu tersebut pun dirilis pada saat yang bersamaan. MV tersebut dapat ditemukan pada saluran musik serta Youtube SMTOWN dan beberapa saluran lainnya.
Single ini merupakan bagian dari promosi full album ketiga Taeyeon yang akan dirilis pada Februari 2022. Laman SM Entertainment menyebutkan MV Can’t Control Myself akan diputar selama 30 detik sebagai iklan layar di 87 Megabox negara tersebut selama sekitar satu bulan sejak 18 Januari 2022.
Single Can’t Control Myself bergenre ballad pop punk yang dibawakan penuh emosional oleh sang penyanyi yang memiliki ciri vokal kuat. Dalam single ini Taeyeon turut berperan sebagai penulis lirik tembang yang berkisah tentang kisah cinta terlarang dan penuh bahaya, karena merindukan hati milik orang lain.
Musik videonya diperankan sendiri oleh Taeyeon dengan konsep seperti film dengan gabungan latar panggung teater. Taeyeon berperan sebagai tokoh utama pada panggung teater dengan karakter yang terluka oleh cinta.
Tak perlu menunggu lama, single Can’t Control Myself telah berhasil duduk di posisi teratas berbagai chart musik dunia, termasuk pada tangga lagu Genie dan Bugs.
