tirto.id - TWICE telah melangsungkan comeback dengan merilis full album terbaru bertajuk Formula of Love: O+T=<3 dengan single utama berjudul “SCIENTIST” pada Jumat (12/11/2021) pukul 12.00 WIB.
"SCIENTIST" sendiri dikomposeri oleh penyanyi Inggris Anne-Marie, serta produser ternama, seperti Melanie Fontana, Michael "Lindgren" Schulz, Tommy Brown, Steven Franks, dan 72.
Menjelaskan judul album mereka, Jihyo berkata, “ONCE [klub penggemar TWICE] sebagai 1 ditambah TWICE sebagai 2 sama dengan hati (<3), tetapi juga memiliki arti album studio ketiga (3) TWICE. Apakah kalian mengenali makna tersembunyi itu? Kami ingin bergandengan tangan dengan ONCE di album masa depan kami juga," katanya, seperti dikutip Soompi.
Jeongyeon menambahkan, “TWICE adalah T, dan ONCE adalah O, dan keduanya ditambahkan bersama-sama dengan cinta. Rasanya bermakna untuk menempatkan nama grup dan nama fandom kami di judul.”
Sementara, Nayeon menjelaskan tentang judul lagu baru mereka, “SCIENTIST", yang liriknya mengandung makna bahwa cinta harus diikuti dengan hati, dan bukan sebagai sesuatu yang harus diteliti dan dihitung.
Pada Minggu (14/11/2021) pukul 13.44 WIB, music video (MV) “SCIENTIST” berhasil menempati posisi ke-5 dalam trending YouTube Indonesia dan telah ditonton sebanyak 27,2 juta kali sejak dirilis.
